As you know, the current housekeeping contract was initially written in 2019 and managed by RMC. It was renewed in 2022, and RMC renewed for 2025.
Here is a brief overview of cost increases since 2019 for a 2 bd:
- 2BD costs in 2019 were $134
- Renewed in 2022 for $142
- Estimated cost for 2025 is $176, reflecting a 31% increase since 2019.
This increase is consistent with the rising costs across the board since 2019, including a 55% increase in the price of eggs.
We are aware that some owners have raised concerns regarding the cleaning quality and issues with the bedding, as discussed in my previous post. Additionally, please consider that we are competing with every hotel and rental on the island for housekeeping services. Many housekeepers do not live on the island due to high housing costs, and some are reluctant to travel long distances, especially on Sundays when they may miss church services. The labor pool is competitive, and these factors impact our service options.

Regarding the new coverlets being considered, RMC has indicated that they will not contain feathers.
As a reminder, the Administrative Fee covers Villa Services, including Reservations, Check-in, Concierge Services, and access to the Service Express/Villa Phone.
