Good Morning OP Neighbors:
The Board met last week and we have a few updates to report:
The heavy comforters are being removed and replaced with a thinner, more modern white covering that can be laundered more frequently.
The bed skirts are being replaced with a material that doesn’t stain or wrinkle resulting in a neater, crisper appearance.
We have paused the furniture replacements and are gathering additional upholstery samples to consider for the living room. We hope to have those available for your input possibly as early as mid to late May.
We reviewed the rules of our community and added a few new ones such as: no electric cables hanging from the villas to the parking lot in order to charge electric vehicles, no sidewalk chalk, and since “flushable” wipes have been known to cause plumbing problems, we are asking owners and their guests to refrain from flushing them.
We are working to get community information posted via google docs to provide more information regarding our community and the benefits of being an owner or guest of Ocean Palms. We hope to have this up and available in the next few weeks.
As occupancy is extremely high, Villa Services has been quite busy making, changing, cancelling and then rebooking reservations. In order to get our confirmations out sooner, all reservations should be made on line rather than by phone.
The Board is expected meet again in person on May 7 and additional updates will be posted again afterwards.
All the best and as always, safe travels to and from Hilton Head.
Beth Shovlin, Esq.,
Board President
